Within the first three minutes of this jaunty little confection it becomes abundantly clear that this is television more concerned with reversing TV's gender and racial imbalances than it is with creating a strong dramatic concept or telling a good story. If you care about that sort of thing then it's probably a good eight or nine out of ten. If you're at all interested in strong characters, good storytelling or some kind of even vague relevance to humanity then it's a clear fail. In other words: it's pretty much all you'd expect from Shonda. Even more galling is the way in which it targets a female audience by relentlessly patronising them with sub-Sex-and-the-City stuff about weddings, wedding cakes, wedding dresses, etc.
Truly appalling.
